After raising the problem of immigration fraud with Punjab Chief Minister Prakash Singh Badal in early 2009, Canadas Immigration Minister Kenney congratulates Badal on the progress made during his recent visit to Punjab. Kenney said he is pleased to see that local authorities and Indian officials have increased their efforts to crack down on many immigration fraudsters. Despite Kenneys much hyped visit, Punjab or India have no interest in checking visa fraud especially since those who leave the country are not only not a burden on them but they contribute to the economy by sending money
