Overseas students targets of Australian visa fraud: officials

Australian authorities say they have uncovered a fraud targeting overseas students in the southern city of Melbourne.
They allegedly found three migration agents offering false documents to people applying for permanent visas.
The discovery came in a raid last week.
The students based their residency applications on claimed skills in occupations including cooking, hairdressing and mechanics.
The Department of Immigration and the police are considering whether to lay forgery and fraud charges.
