Immigration: 'Demographic divide' on the rise
Whites fall faster from majority

New U.S. Census Bureau numbers show a stark change in immigration and birth patterns has moved up by eight years the date at which whites will no longer be the majority of the U.S. population, to 2042 – and demographers said those numbers will push immigration to the forefront of this year's political debates.
The Census Bureau says the U.S. population will rise to 439 million by 2050, or 135 million more than today. But with falling birthrates among white non-Hispanic women, the white non-Hispanic population will begin shrinking in 2031, even as the number of Hispanics triples in the next four decades.
“It really is a demographic divide in what's happening with the white population in this country and what's happening with minorities, and it's mostly due to immigration,” said Mark Mather at the Population Reference Bureau, a demographics research group.
“It'll feed into the immigration debate, first of all, and probably the election,” he said. “Congress has been kind of slow to make decisions about immigration … but these numbers I think will probably put this back on a lot of people's minds.”
Combined with an aging population – those 65 and older will more than double from 38.7 million to 88.5 million – the numbers define the boundaries for some of the most pressing problems of the next four decades, including infrastructure, race relations and an aging society.
“This accelerates everything – it accelerates the diversity of the younger ages, the middle ages and even the senior ages,” said William H. Frey, a demographer at the Brookings Institution and professor of population studies at the University of Michigan.
“We need to spend much more time dealing with the issue of diversity in the United States,” he said. “Right now, we have diverse parts of our country, and it's spreading out. You see it's causing a lot of social confrontations in some places. I think part of that is we've not yet anticipated these demographic shifts.”
Immigration is the driving factor, said Mr. Mather and other demographers, who said it's not just the foreign-born but the children they're having who account for so much growth.
“It's immigrants coming in, but it's the fact they tend to be younger, they're starting families, and they're creating population momentum,” Mr. Mather said.
A Pew Hispanic Center report released last week said 19 percent of U.S. residents will be immigrants in 2050, topping the 15 percent record set during the last major wave of immigration, from 1870 to 1910. Today, the foreign-born account for 12 percent.
The Census Bureau predicted net immigration, which has averaged 1.1 million people from 2001 to 2007, will reach more than 2 million a year in 2050.
Steven A. Camarota, research director for the Center for Immigration Studies, which advocates stricter limits on immigration, said the issue isn't the racial makeup of the population growth as much as it is the overall increase of 135 million people, which he said should raise questions about the country's ability to build the schools, roads and housing units required.
“This is the equivalent of the entire population of Great Britain and France together. It's as if those two countries entirely moved to the United States,” he said. “It means like 80 million more cars on the road.
“The point here is what does it mean for the quality of life, the quality of the environment – profound questions,” he said. “It's not the weather – this isn't happening because Americans are choosing to have large families. It's happened primarily, not entirely, but largely because of a federal program, immigration – that is, the toleration of illegal immigration and very generous legal immigration.”
Among other findings from the numbers:
In 2050, there will be 600,909 people 100 or older, or nearly 10 times today's number of centenarians.
The children of 2050 will be 62 percent minority, including 39 percent Hispanic. Today, 44 percent of children are members of racial or ethnic minorities.
Even though the “working age” population – those 18 through 64 – will increase in total numbers, as a percentage of the population it will fall from 63 percent today to 57 percent in 2050.
That suggests that despite immigration, the country will not grow its way out of stresses on programs for the elderly funded by today's taxpayers, such as Social Security and Medicare.
But Mr. Frey said the growing population also means the U.S. is likely to escape some of the problems experienced by other countries in the developed world, some of whom already are seeing an absolute decline in their working-age populations, raising even more acute questions of how to handle pensions and health care plans.

Even if the U.S./Mexico “TORTILLA CURTAIN OF SHAME” was to be built tomorrow and America started “deporting” ALL the UNDOCUMENTED IMMIGRANTS en masse, it would NOT make a dent to prevent the white race's INEVITABLE FAIT ACCOMPLI.
White America's ethnic population is getting old and dying out. They (whites) are also no longer procreating enough children anymore either to catch up with the everso growing Brown people of color who will become the dominant majority in about 2045.
Case in point; The Texas Rio Grande Valley from Corpus Christi to Brownsville is a classical example of Mexican American self rule. Most of these towns and cities from Mayors, City Council, Health and Education, a Chicana woman President of Brownsville's University of Texas, Chief of Police, etc, are mostly Chicano governed.
The death of MANIFEST DESTINY has come to it's final end. THE UGLY AMERICAN is dead.
America will feel THE BROWNING OF AMERICA from California to Texas in a near future with no turning back the clock. Even if those anti immigrant XENOPHOBE zealots like the AMERICAN WHITE TERRORIST MINUTEMEN tried to prevent it, …it's too little too late to stop us now.

Arizona, Oklahoma, Georgia, etc.—have already FORCED the illegals to leave their states—-ALL states can do the same thing, so that the illegal invaders are FORCED to leave the entire country.
Take away all jobs, welfare, WIC, foodstamps, non-emergency medical, education benefits, etc—and the illegals will be FORCED to leave on their own—just like what is happening in AZ, OK, and GA.
Then, let all police be trained/certified through the Federal 287g Program, so that they can assist ICE with making arrests/deportations—just like what is happening in AZ, OK, and GA—–and the illegals will leave on thier own.
If the welcome mat is lifted throughout the country, the illegals will be FORCED to leave on thier own!!!

I agree with SOME of the comments that have been offered here…however, reality MUST intrude somewhere…I think a secure border fence is a GREAT investment considering the overburden on our systems today from ILLEGAL ALIENS (call them what they are) and removal of the “anchor baby” law, for certain…however, trying to remove ALL the folks already here is nigh on impossible…this nation has absorbed millions of immigrants before and CAN do it again…but not if the tide never stops…thus the fence…and we need it to be constructed NOW, not when a DEMO Congress gets off their pandering butts and does a half-hearted bill to appease “nationalist voters”!

This country was founded, built, and blessed by immigration, no serious American has a problem with immigration. Serious Americans have a problem with ILLEGAL immigration.
The nations of the EU have a huge population drain issue, hence their crazy immigration policies and very strict emigration rules.
Secure our borders. Fund and build a border wall. Deport illegal immigrants (yes, all 12 to 30 million of them – deny public services to them unless it is then followed up with deportation). Eliminate the 'anchor' baby loophole. Create a WORKING legal immigration system, and then ENFORCE it. Don't change naturalization at all.

There's a limit to how many people one country can assimilate. There's alread 10 million illegal aliens here, and with them having kids as people do, I wonder how many that adds up to in 40 years, double?
Of course, Obama wants to give all these “law abiding” illegal aliens amnesty, and force the taxpayers to pay for lawyers who will help them fight deportation (Hat tip: www.notwrightforamerica.com). It looks like a recipe for problems…

There is no point in seeing how many people the US can cram into its borders before life become unbearable. Immigration can not go on forever if for no other reason than we will eventually turn the US into a place no one wants to come to. We need to stop immigration now while the US is still livable. We also need to remove illegal aliens as well.

Only if you happen to have a relative here, which precludes most white, English speaking foreign nationals who desire to live here and would help to create an ethnic balance.
British people are discriminated against because we are barred from the Green Card lottery. Without a relative here, our only option is investment. Even after we invest here and employ US citizens, we can only ever be temporary – no path to green card for us.
Most Europeans are discouraged by the almost insurmountable obstacles to immigration.
Most Hispanics have huge families and once one becomes a citizen, they start bringing in their relatives.
Is it any wonder the Hispanics are taking over?

Once upon the time it was held that the “State has the same undeniable jurisdiction over all persons and things within its territorial limits as any foreign nation,” and the object of the 14th amendment “was to restrain the States, not the inhabitants of the States as assumed by the Government.”

These numbers are often inaccurate. First, how do you classify biracial or multiracial ethnic groups? There are dozens of people who are mixed with whites but are no longer considered white. For instance the largest interracial couples are Asians and whites. Are the children of these considered white or Asian or neither? Also, a lot of Hispanics mix with whites as well. Are they now considered Hispanics? The same goes for non-white mix such as Tiger Woods. Is he considered Asian, black, or as he describes himself caublisian. All of this will probably be a mute point once people make genetic engineering a possibility. The bigger issue facing the USA and the world in general is overpopulation which causes more problems than race and is the root of ALL problems of the world from energy needs, pollution, poverty, increase in size of gov to deal with it leading to massive corruption and socialism, cost of living, etc. Unfortunately, all growth in population is occurring from people of third world nations that are too poor or too stupid to use contraceptives and these people then wind up immigrating to Western countries.
