WA has nation's highest migrant population

A report released today show Western Australia has the highest proportion of migrants in Australia.
The 'People of Western Australia' report assessed the 2006 census, finding almost half the state's population have at least one parent born overseas.
The state and federal governments produced the report to provide a reference source for organisations providing services to ethnic groups.
